Vaughan Soccer Club Open House

The Vaughan Soccer Club proudly turns 30 with this, the 2011-2012 season. Over the year, the Vaughan Soccer Club has been the home squad for thousands of young soccer players as they grew to learn and love “the beautiful game.”

The clubhouse, located at 11151 Keele St., was host to the Open House used to kick off the celebration for this major milestone in the club’s history. The Mayor and members of council were on hand to join parents, current and former board members, and a host of others to talk about the impact and importance of the Vaughan Soccer Club in this city’s history. And, what’s a birthday or anniversary celebration without a bit of cake?

While the Mayor got the first cut, and subsequently served the first piece in a hilarious moment, the cake symbolically was shared and cut by everyone in attendance; as the impact that the volunteer-based board and office managers has made was shared to commemorate the team-effort it takes both on and off the field to succeed.
