2008 November > 2nd Annual Impact Day

Sixty employees from Deloitte and Touche volunteered their time to help clean up our city on Friday, September 5 at the second annual City of Vaughan Impact Day. This is a national event that was established by Deloitte & Touche, an international auditing, financial and taxation firm. The Deloitte employees were divided into six teams, five to collect garbage and recyclables and one responsible for planting 60 trees. Although inclement weather cut the day short, this year’s IMPACT DAY saw a close to 20% increase from last year as far as the amount of trash and recyclables that were collected. The 190 bags of trash and 72 bags of recyclables collected included items such as computers, bicycles, televisions, bed springs, lawn chairs, tires, and toys.
