Extendicare & Joseph Gulizia (Director of Operations for Managed Homes) held a dinner fundraiser recently at Desserts Plus Ristorante & Pizzeria in Woodbridge. The evening featured a wine tasting with Wines from Vineland Estates Winery, a fabulous dinner provided by the good people at deserts plus and a silent auction with some pretty neat stuff up for grabs. Over 100 people came out to enjoy the evening and in turn $25,000 was raised with $2500 going to each of the 10 homes in attendance. Kudos to Magda DiMaria for the amazing job she did organizing the event, and helping to make it a success. Extendicare is a Canadian company founded in 1968. Over the past 4 decades they have grown into one of the largest, most experienced and most trusted providers of long-term care in North America. The partners that will benefit from the proceeds of this event are: Villa Colombo Vaughan, York Central Hospital, Southlake Residential Care Village, West park Long term Care, Pine Meadow, The Pines, Lakeside Long Term Care, The McCall Centre, Tendercare Living Centre & Wyndham Manor.
