Active Together Photo Contest
Dale Pershad, A Vaughan resident, was recently selected as the winner of the City’s first-ever Active Together Photo Contest. Mr. Pershad’s winning entry “I believe I can fly” captures his nine-year-old son, Kiran, airborne while performing a skateboarding jump. The Active Together photo contest invited residents of all ages to take photographs of physical activities using The Great Outdoors and Families at Play as the themes.
The photo contest was a component of Active Together, Vaughan’s strategy to increase residents’ physical activity levels by 10 per cent by the year 2020. More congratulations go out to Heather Yuxing, Nancy Bucci, & Alexandra Black for their winning submissions. With the success of this year’s event, many are already looking forward to next year’s instalment.
