Seedy Saturday in York Region
On March 2nd, the Vaughan community was welcome to plant a seed while attending the Seedy Saturday at Vaughan City Hall. A unique mix of seed and gardening supply merchants, environmental groups providing interesting workshops taught visitors how easy it is to setup, maintain and harvest your own vermicomposting system. Seeds were planted in the minds of guests on how to better coexist with their natural surroundings. It's rare to find an event that actually asks people to consider the importance of worms, but allowing them to eat your garbage is one of the best ways to maintain a healthy environment. The information given was phenomenal and everyone who attended found their time at Seedy Saturday to be very worthwhile.
