foodlove: Recipe to Grow Old Together
Toronto, ON- Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013- Across cultures and generations, the sharing of food serves to strengthen bonds, foster kinship, and impart knowledge. Culinary aficionados and novices alike will celebrate the power of food to instill cultural values and tradition with the foodlove Experience.
The foodlove Experience will be hosted at the Miele Kitchen Gallery in Vaughan. 25 couples will attend, participating in a series of five culturally distinct cooking seminars in the gallery’s state- of- the- art Active Kitchens. The seminars will be guided by seasoned home chefs, who will school attendees in the cooking traditions that distinguish one culture’s culinary offerings from the next. Participants will share in the fruits of their labour at the evening’s end with a four course meal.
The inaugural fundraising event, hosted by Downsview Services for Seniors, will be held at the Miele Kitchen Gallery in Vaughan on Thursday, February 14th, 2013. There are a limited number of seats available. Interested parties should inquire via the foodlove website, at www.foodlove.com. All proceeds from the event will benefit Downsview Services for Seniors.
