HEART for Community

To accomplish anything great in our lives, the most important step, and sometimes the toughest, is the first. On February 14th, The HEART for Community event, which took place at Chartwell Valley Vista Retirement Residence, saw walkers get their strut on early, as the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Centric Health took one giant step towards healthier hearts and raising awareness among participants. Participants in the walk had the opportunity to meet new, friendly people and enjoy some fun entertainment and speeches – all the while bringing in donations for the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Each donation that was made provided guests with lunch and a ballot to win a slew of prizes. The walk was a complete success; not only for giving people an opportunity of meeting new friends, but for being a great help in the fight to end heart disease & stroke complications.
