Olive Branch for Children's 8th Annual Gala Dinner
The Olive Branch for Children recently hosted their eighth annual Gala Fundraising Dinner at Bellvue Manor last month. The event is held annually in support of the organization’s work in helping remote communities in Tanzania assess their primary needs and establish programs that will assist the most vulnerable. The Olive Branch’s founder and fearless leader Deborah McCracken, a Woodbridge resident, was joined by hundreds of guests, each of whom were equally as committed to sharing a bit of their own fortune with some of Tanzania’s most impoverished citizens. Guests enjoyed a silent auction, fabulous hospitality courtesy of the venue, and a stirring speech by Deborah, who used the occasion to showcase the work the organization has been able to accomplish, thanks in large part to the previous gala dinners. With the construction and opening of the Vaughan-Wambiloo Montessori School in Tanzania and plans for a permanent home to house over 40 HIV/AIDS orphans, the future is brighter for those who benefit from the Olive Branch’s existence. The Olive Branch for Children needs your support to help children in need. Visit www.theolivebranchforchildren.org for more information on how you can extend your care to Tanzania.
