Zenons 13th Birthday Party
It’s not often that we, at SNAP Vaughan East, find ourselves at a 13th birthday party. However, after Lori Zubyk sent us information about her son’s birthday party, we felt compelled to help them share their day with all of you. While many 13 year-olds can’t wait to receive presents to commemorate their birthdays, Zenon Zubyk had other plans in mind. He wanted to have a night with his friends, and in lieu of receiving gifts for himself, each attendee was required to offer a donation to help the Canadian Cancer Society. The party, held at Le Parc Concord, helped by bringing in $400 in donations. More importantly, the evening provided an inspiring tale for all of us. While many of us have been blessed with good health and good fortune, it is important to show our appreciation for these gifts by helping those who may not be in the same situation. Congratulations Zenon...for not only turning thirteen, but for also displaying a side of goodwill and generosity that is beyond your years!
