McDonald's 300 Steeles Ave W Grand Opening Celebration
With the opening of a new McDonald’s® in Thornhill at 300 Steeles Ave. W on January 09th, residents in the community showed they were, “lovin’ it,” by showing up in droves for the Grand Opening celebrations. The brand new location features a double-lane drive-thru, two flat screen televisions, and a PlayPlace for customers to enjoy. Those in attendance for the celebration were treated to an entire afternoon of family fun, featuring visits from local dignitaries and notable McDonald’s characters as well as tons of activities and entertainment throughout the day. The Honourable Peter Kent, P.C., M.P. (Thornhill), was on hand to help Franchisee Peter Miller cut the ribbon to mark the special occasion, while the youngsters in attendance took full advantage of the opportunity to meet Ronald McDonald, Hamburglar, and Grimace. The Olympic Games was also a theme at the event. A large banner to write messages to our Canadian athletes and a raffle with a Grand Prize of a full-set of Olympic Sport Water Bottles was also made available to attendees.
