Reel Film Pictures Premiere Screening of Genesis
Amidst an incredible turnout and a palpable buzz in the AMC Theatre at the Interchange, the screening of Reel Film Picture’s 10th film, Genesis, was an event that won’t be soon forgotten. Genesis was screened twice on January 10th, playing to a packed house each time. Reel Film Pictures has gained notoriety within Independent Film circles, as their projects have been showcased in Film Festivals throughout North America. The brainchild of local talent Mark Pagliaroli and Tony Ienco, Reel Film has evolved immensely since being formed in 2003. Genesis represents a monumental step for Mark and Tony; as it is the first, of hopefully many, feature length films from the group.
Genesis is a wild ride through a post-apocalyptic society. The audience follows the trials and tribulations of David Orwell, an officer, who finds himself in a precarious situation. Orwell (played brilliantly by Eli Martyr) is a commissioned officer responsible for restoring order in his town by capturing ne’er do well civilians, who, he is told, steal from the new world order making evolution impossible until they are all captured. However, when Orwell stumbles upon classified information, the fortunes change for all involved making Genesis truly a must-see for any fan of cinema.
