2nd Annual Strikes 4 Marco
The death of a young child rarely makes sense. The lives we have all been privileged to lead are based upon the laws of nature working in our favour, and hopefully, we get to fulfill our every dream and wish during our journeys. In the case of Marco Leggieri, a young boy who lost his battle with Rhabdomyosarcoma on January 4th, 2008, the opportunity to lead a healthy and normal life was taken from him at too young of an age. Due to the tireless work of his family and friend however Marco’s legacy lives in the form of the Marco’s Way Tribute Fund. On January 10th, the charity’s 2nd Annual Strikes 4 Marco took place at Lucky Strikes Lanes at Vaughan Mills to raise funds to aid in finding a cure to help other families who find themselves in a similar position as the Leggieri’s. The event was successful in its attempt to bring in funds and raise awareness. The bowlers had a great time on the lanes, evoking memories of a young boy who’s smile inspired those around him to give to the community they live in.
