Overcoming Obstacles to Make a Difference
Sometimes it is easy to take life for granted. With the hectic schedules that many of us maintain, we sometimes forget that there are people in this world who are less fortunate than we are. The Holy Trinity Anglican Church, located at 140 Brooke Street, held a fundraiser run by homeschool youth in order to provide the children of Ecuador with fresh, clean drinking water through Free The Children. The organization strives to children to help provide form other kids who could use the assistance.
Spencer West, a charismatic and inspirational speaker, was present at the fundraiser and spoke to the audience about what it was like to lose his legs at only five years of age. His courage and hope for the future allowed him to persevere through his daily struggles. As a result, he now speaks about the importance of being courageous and hopeful.
Just like Spencer West, it is important for us to be strong leaders and help the children of Ecuador who, at this point, deserve all the help we can give them.
