Family Day Skate
It is very difficult for families to spend time together when parents work during the day and come home to a wide variety of house duties, like cooking and cleaning. Family Day is the perfect opportunity for parents to spend quality time with their children doing something fun and different.
The City of Vaughan’s recreational facilities remained open on Monday, February 15th in order to provide families with recreational activities on the family-oriented holiday. The Maple Community Centre, located at 10190 Keele Street, offered a wide variety of activities, including skating. Tim Hortons was proud to support this year’s Family Day and sponsored a free skate between noon and 2 p.m. Many Maple residents took advantage of the great opportunity and laced up their skates.
The day was a learning experience for everyone because the activities promoted physical activity and families had a great time being active together.
