Carnevale 2010: Ballo In Maschera
The Federazione Canadese Italiano (FCI) is an Italian student club at York University. Its goal is to support and promote the Italian language, Italian culture and traditions within the university, as well as among Italian-Canadian communities.
Students and members of the community were invited to the club’s annual Carnevale 2010 Masquerade Ball, held on February 12th at 6 p.m. The festivities were held at Le Jardin Conference and Event Centre at 8440 Highway 27 in Woodbridge. Like many traditional galas, there were prizes to be awarded and a delicious sit-down dinner provided. In keeping with Italian tradition, pork roast was served at midnight. All proceeds from the event went to support the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation. It was a great opportunity to bring a community together in support of finding a cure for cancer.
