Sunset Grill's Pancake Tuesday Charity Event
Following the success of last year’s Pancake Tuesday event, the people at Sunset Grill held a chain-wide event in the hopes of providing more aid the Canadian Cancer Society. On February 16th, the 2nd Annual Loonie Pancake Tuesday Charity Event brought many in the community to the all-day breakfast restaurant. Vaughan’s original Sunset Grill Restaurant (3255 Rutherford Road) and its newest locations (8280 Hwy. 27 and 1430 Major Mackenzie Drive) all were involved, and SNAP was proud to meet with the patrons and staff at the Major Mac and Dufferin location for a rare Tuesday morning celebration. 100% of the proceeds from pancake sales on that day were donated directly to the Canadian Cancer Society. The results of this year’s event will not be made available until the early spring; however last year’s event provided $5000 in much needed funding to the worthy organization.
