5th Annual Cops For Cancer
Our Police Officers and EMS workers generally serve by both protecting people from harm and keeping the streets safe, or by taking care of individuals in a variety of situations to provide the utmost in emergency care and treatment. On April 30th however, a group from the York Region Police and the York Region EMS took a break from their roles and set out to battle cancer at Vaughan Mills. The 5th Annual Cops for Cancer event in support of the Canadian Cancer Society saw local heroes shaving their heads in order to raise funds. Sacrificing their hair for pledges from friends, family, and associates, the public servants we SNAP’d upheld a tradition that signifies the most popular form of fundraising in the Cops for Cancer campaign. If you’d like to join them in the fight against cancer and give to the Canadian Cancer Society, please visit www.cancer.ca.
