Richview Manor Strides for Stroke Raises Record $125,000
Over 800 runners and walkers participated in the Richview Manor Strides for Stroke 5K Run/Walk on May 7th, 2011 setting new records in the process. The event was a huge success raising over $125,000 in support of the York Region District Stroke Centre at York Central Hospital!
Since 2006, this annual event has raised over $470,000 NET supporting York Central's leadership role in ensuring that stroke patients have rapid access to
diagnosis, treatment and equipment. In addition this event has directly contributed to funding an annual District Stroke Bursary, offering staff and physicians with high quality education and with continuous up-to-date knowledge on best practices to treat stroke patients.
