Richview Idol Round 2

Talent is a funny thing. We all have our own unique abilities, but it seems there are those who live to showcase it, while others fade into the background, act as spectators and keep it to themselves. Luckily for the audience at the 2nd Round of performances in the Richview Idol Competition, the performers were anything but shy as they each, individually, took to the stage for a memorable afternoon. Richview Idol is organized by the staff of, and held at, the beautiful Richview Manor Retirement Living facility in Maple. On March 25th, students from the Musaic School of Music sure held the audience in awe as each contestant performed a musical piece from the jazz, pop and musical theatre genres; to see if they could wow the judges and move on into the next round of the competition. What makes the panel of judges special is the inclusion of four Richview Manor residents, who offer a unique perspective on the individuals and their performances. A few hard decisions had to be made, and while a few very talented performers didn’t make it to Round 3, the ones that did will surely heat up this competition to decide just who will be crowned the Richview Idol.
