Rally for Kids with Cancer Celebrity Draft Night 2012
The Rally for Kids with Cancer Celebrity Draft at Muzik Nightclub in Toronto was, again, a huge success in 2012. The event annually kicks off the event which culminates in a race through the streets of Toronto that sees teams ride with a celebrity navigator in the hopes of taking home the title. We were on hand once again for Draft Night held the evening before the big race. With Honourary Chair Kirk Russell helping kick off the festivities and “rallying” the troops on hand, one-by-one the teams, in order of funds raised, took to the podium to choose their celebrity navigator.
The event was star-studded as celebrities from the world of sports, music, fashion, television, and the silver screen joined forces in the fight against cancer. Dave & Buster’s Vaughan was one of many food vendors set up throughout, and as seen by the signatures on their sign right by their delicious cheese steaks, they were a hit with fans and celebs alike.
For more information on the race, which actually takes place in a couple other cities around North America, and even how to get involved in this incredible event yourself next year, please visit www.rallyforkids.com/tor/main.shtml.
