9th Annual Pasta Festa

While this time of the year usually means many Italians are in the final stages of taking part in a years-long tradition of tomato sauce making with their families, a group of generous people were eagerly anticipating an event that has become quite a tradition for them as well, in a similar vein. The 9th Annual Pasta Festa, sponsored by Active Green & Ross, Peel Chrysler & , brought together hundreds of people to benefit the Trillium Health Centre. The proceeds from this year’s proceeds were earmarked to support neuroscience redevelopment at the Trillium Health Centre sites of The Credit Valley Hospital and the Trillium Health Centre.
Pasta Festa brings together doctors, philanthropists, and lovers of the Italian food in the name of charity. The meal is easily one of the best you’ll find anywhere. With Lasagna, Arrancini, & Tortellini, among a host of other dishes and antipasto delights available, it is definitely a haven for those who love to eat; and maybe a little overwhelming for those with smaller appetites! It takes the work of many to put on an event like this, and all of the volunteers and food & beverage contributors stepped up in a big way to make the 9th Annual Pasta Festa another rousing success. The first 8 instalments had raised over $1,000,000 for Trillium, as Pasta Festa organizers have certainly found the perfect recipe to raise funds for this great cause.
