Brownridge Boutique Night
It was truly an honour to join the staff, students, and families of Brownridge Public School for their Brownridge Boutique Night at the end of November. For one night, the school was transformed into a lively marketplace that was as eclectic in selection as it was fun and exciting for those in attendance. The evening certainly would have been the perfect start or supplement to anyone’s shopping to-do list, with clothes, makeup, and other products readily available. And, some vendors on hand even provided the perfect place or tools to host any upcoming parties as well. The event was sponsored by the Brownridge School Council and they were assisted by dedicated volunteers to make the evening a huge success. This event raises money for the school, which helps purchase technology, sports equipment and healthy snacks for Brownridge students. As an added bonus, donations of non-perishable food items and new mittens & hats were collected as well for the school’s efforts in the York Region Police Holiday Hero Campaign, adding to the collection from students on a daily basis at the school.
