City of Vaughan's Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
Once again this year, Members of Council invited residents to join them during the month of December, and SNAP was on hand December 6th for the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. This is one of the most anticipated events of the year, as for many, it is usually the kickoff to the countdown to Christmas and all of the shopping, carolling, and festive partying that goes along with it. Those attending were encouraged to take part in the City’s annual Toy Drive that supports the CP24-CHUM Christmas Wish by donating a new, unwrapped toy for newborns to children 18 years of age. And, after doing so, were able to enjoy the countdown to the big light up and the free refreshments and festivities in the City Hall Atrium. Also on hand to help celebrate was Santa himself, as families lined up to get their photo with the man in red.
