Home Base - Vaughan Grand Opening
Pathways for Children, Youth and Families of York Region proudly announced the opening of their newest Home Base Vaughan Youth Drop In Centre on November 27th. Those in attendance had the opportunity to tour the facility during an Open House that was part of the day’s festivities. Once there, guests, which included local M.P.P. Peter Sherman who was on hand to help with the ribbon cutting, could learn more about how the organization helps at-risk and vulnerable youth through a variety of programs. Locally known as Home Base, the Centres continue to be a welcoming and safe environment where youth can connect with staff members to assist them with life skills, counselling, housing search, employment and much more. Home Base provides supportive services for youth from the ages of 13 to 24 years.
