Hospice Thornhill 2012 Annual General Meeting

The 2012 Hospice Thornhill AGM was a great success on December 3rd. With about 25 guests in attendance, which included staff, volunteers, and community members, all in attendance learned about what the organized accomplished in 2012; much of which could not have been possible without the people who were in attendance that evening. Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua was a very special guest as well during the AGM. Bevilacqua presented Hospice Thornhill with a cheque for $5,000 from funds raised at the Mayor’s Gala. Also, guests screened the premiere of a short documentary film created by Tara Filteau (Hospice Thornhill’s Co-Ordinator of Volunteers) and enjoyed a volunteer recognition ceremony in which all of the volunteers were presented with a certificate for “Outstanding Service”. The event finished with an outline of future plans and projections for 2013, which we at SNAP hope the group exceeds as they provide a valuable service to so many people in their community.
