Vaughan in Focus
Vaughan IN FOCUS: A Community Photography Exhibition was recently open from September 13th to November 30th, with the work of resident photographers on public display in the Atrium Gallery on the slate at Vaughan City Hall and the newly appointed Vaughan Arts Space annexed to the Maple Community Centre. The exhibition featured a range of representational and abstract depictions of the City’s diverse character – the vibrant spirit of its people, places and things. The exhibition at the Atrium featured original works by 15 emerging and established photographers, selected by an adjudication panel from both separate adult and secondary student categories. At the Vaughan Arts Space, a complementary solo exhibition featured the work of local photographer Joanna Katchutas, whose images explore a series of engaging narratives and self-portraiture through the use of digital photography.
