Joe Avati Exclusive Comedy Show
Famous comedian Joe Avati, as well as his opening acts Guido Grasso & Freddy Proia, gave 600 guests at the Terrace Banquet Hall an incredible experience - and maybe even some abdominal pain after leaving as well - as the Joe Avati: Back to Basics Tour made a very special stop here in Vaughan. The exclusive performance was made possible with the dedicated co-operation of Pizzaville, The Terrace, Variation Music, Impact North & SNAP Woodbridge, all working to benefit Pizzaville’s Rainy Day Fund, which raises funds for various charitable organizations including this year’s recipient, the Tracy Dort-Kyne Trust Fund. Tracy’s life was altered after a spinal injury incurred while cycling and Pizzaville has jumped on board to help Tracy and her family cope with her condition.
With all of that in mind, guests filed into the Terrace to enjoy a delicious dinner and a memorable performance from the Australian/Italian Avati, who’s take on growing up in an Italian household has found him a universal audience and sold-out crowds wherever he goes. Pizzaville owner Angelo Contardi proudly presented Tracy, who was in attendance as well, with a cheque for $25,000 - collected from the generous contributions of those who attended this event. While the contributions guests made were directed to Pizzaville’s Rainy Day Fund, those in attendance, as well as the dedicated event organizers, helped create some very sunny days for Tracy Dort-Kyne and her family as they face an uphill battle with expensive, ongoing care for her complex needs.
