Robbie Burns Celebration

At Chartwell Valley Vista, the staff and volunteers do a great job of keeping the day-to-day routines of their residents lively and full of excitement. We joined them recently as they celebrated Robbie Burns Day at the local retirement home for seniors. This year marked the 253rd celebration of the “National Poet of Scotland.” Those in attendance were in for some traditional Scottish celebrating, as the food, refreshments, and entertainment left all in the room feeling as if they had just boarded a plane and ended up in Glasgow for the afternoon. Located in Maple, Greenway Valley Vista offers a truly independent lifestyle. Just on the outskirts of Maple, residents have easy access to theatres, restaurants, shopping and medical facilities.
