Peter Kent Community Office Open House
As is customary among many members of parliament when the calendars turn at the beginning of each year, Thornhill’s MP Peter Kent invited his constituents to an Open House in January to kick the year off together. On January 13th, Kent welcomed visitors throughout the afternoon to wish them a happy new year and discuss local matters and catch up personally with each of his guests. While the holiday season had already winded down, that didn’t stop those in attendance from continuing their giving ways; as a collection was set up with non-perishable food items being collected for the local food bank. The Minister of the Environment was joined by Peter Van Loan (MP, York-Simcoe) as well, giving Thornhill residents a chance to meet another representative from the House of Commons at Kent’s 7378 Yonge Street, Unit 41B Community Office location.
