WCYR Secures Grant

The Women's Centre of York Region was successful in securing a Provincial Government grant for just under $50K to develop a micro financing program for women in their business incubator. This will mean access to small amounts of start-up loans to women in York Region who might not be able to access that money otherwise.
Laurel Broten, Minister Responsible for Women's Issues and Reza Moridi, MPP for Richmond Hill as wells as local dignitaries attended the announcement ceremony at the WCYR offices in January. For information visit www.womenscentreyorkregion.com.
