Yorkhill Elementary School's Culturefest
On January 31st, Yorkhill Elementary School set up an amazing event for all to enjoy. Entitled Culturefest, the school invited the community to come out and celebrate its wonderfully diversified population. Families, friends and not to mentioned staff members of the school joined together to mingle, learn and enjoy vibrant entertainment as well as delicious foods from around the globe. Those cultures and nationalities that were celebrated and honoured included Iran, Israel, Mexico, China, Korea, South Africa and of course Canada. The event managed to celebrate and show “off [the school’s] unique cultures” and helped students, parents and staff members create new friendships along the way. We were glad to get a few happy photos of those in attendance and if you wish to see whether you were SNAP’d at this event, you can check out the pictures on this page or our website: www.snapvaughaneast.com for additional photos.
