2013 Vaughan Heritage Preservation Awards

The 2013 Vaughan Heritage Preservation Awards recognized individuals and organizations who have demonstrated outstanding contributions in the restoration of Vaughan’s cultural heritage resources. This year, four restoration projects and one compatible new construction project were recognized at a ceremony held on February 19th. In order, awards were presented to Monica Murad, Roy Murad & Phillip H. Carter for their work on the Vernacular Georgian Cottage structure at 15 Mill St., Suzanne & Kenneth Zardo for their work to an existing location at 21 Kellam St., Berkid Investments (represented by Mark & Debbie Ber) for a home restoration at 80 Centre St., the Trustees & Congregation of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church (represented by Reverend Robert Royal) for their recent church restoration, and the Incumbent, Wardens, & Congregation of Holy Trinity Church (represented by Ron Tolhurst) and Gallaugher Contracting Ltd. (represented by Katie Faulkner & Brandon Gabel) for the restoration work on the 140 Brooke St. church location. Congratulations to all!
