So You Think You Can Cook Northwood

With their parents close by, the children at Northwood Academy starred as they took part in the 3rd Annual “So You Think You Can Cook Northwood”. On the evening of February 21st, students showcased some homemade snack recipes, acting as “Master Chefs” as their parents played the roles of Sous Chefs. Each chef took their turn presenting their recipe to each of their peers and guests and the reward came when, of course, the chance came after each presentation to try a little of all that was prepared. The event helps students with so many important skills – from learning math through the ingredients and proportions, to vocabulary and social skills during their presentations. While everyone used to “So You Think You Can Dance” is probably asking themselves ‘Hey, who was the big winner?’ Well, at this event, everyone tied for top honours, as the students showed incredible poise and energy throughout the evening.
