The Living City® Environmental Dinner
This year’s “The Living City Environmental Dinner” featured a little bit of history. The annual event honouring the late Charles Sauriol celebrated 20 great years. The event has had such luminaries as George Stromboulopoulos and Gord Downie take part in helping to highlight the vision for a new community featuring a symbiotic relationship between people and their environment and this eyar brought much of the same to Bellvue Manor in Vaughan on November 7th. The Living City® Foundation supports the work of Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA) and raises money for projects undertaken by TRCA. At this year’s event, CTV Reporter Ashley Rowe served as the MC while Fashion Takes Action, a non-profit organization that supports sustainability in the fashion industry, put on fashion show to remember. Funds raised from this event will support the protection of environmentally significant land and raise awareness of conservation.
