To celebrate the memory of Amanda Marascio, the members of Amanda Marascio’s Circle of Hope hosted a fundraiser to support another fantastic organization, The Sunshine Foundation of Canada. On November 2nd, guests were invited to raise money for a good cause at the Presidente Banquet Hall in Vaughan. The night was filled plenty of entertainment starting off with a delicious dinner including a five course meal and open bar, dancing, and a live auction. And to top it all off, Amanda’s favourite hockey player, former Maple Leafs goaltender Curtis Joseph (Cujo) made a special appearance to help raise funds for the event. Amanda was a live and vivacious young woman who led an incredible life but ultimately lost her battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a form of cancer, on July 22, 2004. All proceeds of the fundraiser will be going towards helping The Sunshine Foundation of Canada fulfill the dreams of children living with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses.
