Spinning 4 Autism 2014 a Huge Success

Last month, we highlighted the 2nd Annual Spinning 4 Autism event at the Al Palladini Community Centre. On February 20th, Shining Through Centre received a cheque for $47,000 from event organizer Raffaela Bozzato as a direct result of the hard-work and determination of participants, organizers, and local dignitaries. Autism is recognized as the most common neurological disorder affecting children in Canada. An estimated 10,000 children are currently diagnosed with the disorder in Ontario. The success of this year’s event has created a great sense of momentum which will hopefully carry through into next year’s fundraiser.
