GAME ON! Returns to Inspire Creativity

It was a dream come true on March 13th for board game fanatics at the March Break program GAME ON! Back by popular demand, kids of all ages were invited to recreate their favourite online, arcade and classic board games by building the game themselves. Using screenshots from an iPad, children were faced with the tough challenge of building popular online games such as Subway Surfers, Cut the Rope, Pacman, Minion Rush, Unblock Me, Minecraft, and Catching Fire. They also recreated some childhood favourite board games like Mouse Trap too. This program was an innovative way to get those creative juices flowing as kids were provided a number of the necessary materials to build the games including colourful beads, building blocks, Styrofoam cups, rope and thread, construction paper, buttons and wooden boards. And the best part was getting to try out their new contraptions to see if it worked!
