Tastes of Heaven 2014

The Catholic Missions in Canada organization was proud to welcome hundreds of members of the local business community throughout the GTA at their annual Tastes of Heaven Gala. One of the most storied organizations in Canada (the group was established in 1908), the Catholic Missions of Canada has been a beacon of hope for many vulnerable Canadians, as the support garnered from events like Tastes of Heaven 2014. In a night that truly showcased the spirit of giving amongst those who made their way to Bellvue Manor on May 1st, there were an abundance of highlights. His Eminence, Thomas C. Cardinal Collins (Archbishop of Toronto) was among the attendees, offering guests the opportunity to exchange words with the beloved figure. Also, live entertainment from world renowned performers Michael Burgess & Andrea Garofalo, as well as the incredible display by Red Sky, Canada’s leading company of indigenous performance in dance, theatre & music, had the crowd buzzing throughout the evening. Event Chair Marie Di Poce, as well as her husband John, deserves plenty of kudos alongside the hardworking group of volunteers, donors, sponsors and patrons for helping to make this year’s event such a success. The funds raised from Tastes of Heaven 2014 will add to the $1.8 million dollars that have been raised since 2001from this annual event, and this year’s funds will help with the building and repairing of churches, supporting missionaries, and other vital functions to keeping this great organization thriving in 2014 and beyond.
