Concord West Seniors Club Book Launch

Many of us have been fortunate enough to enjoy stories from older relatives as we’ve grown up, learning about the way the world used to be while taking in nuggets of wisdom accrued over years of living, loving and laughing. After a recent book launch at the Concord West Seniors Club, a few lucky people will now have the stories and art from their relatives immortalized in print forever. “A Note of Hope” is a collection of life stories from seniors within the Concord West Seniors Club, with contributions from some of their friends outside of the group. The book features everything from real life accounts to poems created to help readers understand the lives led by the authors of the featured pieces. The ceremony featured some impassioned readings and a brief explanation on how the book came to fruition. Guests had the opportunity to be the first to purchase the book and it was clear that the books were flying off of the registration table once the formal proceedings had come to a close.
