Vaughan Wins Three Awards of Excellence in Communications

The City of Vaughan’s Corporate Communications department has received three APEX 2014 Awards of Excellence (an award that focuses on the achievement of communications excellence). The City has been rewarded and acknowledged for its “comprehensive communications strategy,” which is a way to deliver citizen-focused two-way communications, as well as for its Apps for Corp Comm Connects (a mobile application created to distribute information internally), and for Best Single Blog Post, which included an interview with a Vaughan war veteran. Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua was amongst many of those who congratulated the department for their hard work and commitment to enhancing communication strategies within the city. “These Awards of Excellence reflect the strides we are making to open up the channels of communication at City Hall, and recognize the good work our staff are doing each day to take Vaughan to the next level," said Bevilacqua.
